  • How goals, norms, guidelines and decision making influence a group.
  • Group dynamics.
  • Individual awareness, feedback - theory and practice.
  • Methods of learning - how we learn. Similarities/differences.
  • Communication, ethics, good conduct, the Power of Sandvik.
  • Coaching, leadership - partnership.
  • Coursework.

Meeting 2-3,

2+2 days

  • Situational leadership.
  • Change processing.
  • Stress and conflict management.
  • Assessment and targeting.
  • Coursework.

Extra information:

Sandvik's foundation leadership course also studies

  • Practical labor legislation, 1 day
  • Environmental responsibilities of a manager, 1 day
  • Leadership within Sandvik, half day

Sandviks foundation leadership course comprises 7 days leadership on campus with internal and external course leaders, 2 days foundation in labor law for leaders, plus a foundation in working environments, 5 days.


Coursework is done between the sessions.

An ambition is to complete the course within the first year of a leadership role.

Previously completed courses in labor laws and working environment will be taken into account, allowing non-participation during those sessions on this course.
