Leadership Training

Sandvik Executive Leadership Program (ELP), 2015 


(ELP) has been developed in partnership with IMD. The overall program objective is to enable Sandvik leaders to be more aligned with strategic directions and also enhance their leadership capabilities in line with the Sandvik Leadership Model. The program is carried out as a four plus three plus two day program, with approximately 3-4 months in between the modules.

My biggest take away from this training was the importance of business understanding in connection to the need of different skills and personalities, depending of the business challenge at hand. during the 360 feedback I also got confirmation that the work on my improvement areas over the last years have been fruitful. 

International Management Program (IMP)


The IFL International Management Program, IMP, is a multiculturalmeeting point for emerging international managerswith an enriching variety of backgrounds and experiences.The program is designed together with the partner companies– Atlas Copco, Munters, Sandvik and Scania – to meetthe current and future needs of international managers indecentralized global companies operating in a dynamic businessenvironment. My biggest take away from this training was the increased insight of how I am perceived by my surrounding, the importance of communication and cultural differences in how a message is received and on top of that I got a good opportunity to increase my network.  

SMC Change Management Program (CHAMP) 8, 2008


Champ is delivered in cooperation with Stockholm School of Economics, IFL Executive Education (IFL) with the aim to strengthen the leadership competencies needed for the future success for SMC, i.e. the competencies identified in the SMC Competence Model. CHAMP is focusing on three learning areas: 

  • People Leadership and Change Management 
  • Business Strategy and Finance 
  • Participant’s Change Projects

My biggest take away from CHAMP was how much i respect people striving for value based leadership and my appreciation to have a leader that act as a coach.  

Sandvik’s foundation course in leadership (SGL)


  • To provide basic background knowledge and understanding in leadership through practical exercises.
  • To understand Sandvik's leadership philosophy and the demands and expectations that come with this.
  • To get help from a "toolkit" which supports this leadership, and to create a forum for networking between the business areas. Link to full description
